‘Do Do Basavanna’ greets one and all
It’s been a tradition of decorating the bull, popularly known as “gangireddu” followed by the procession on the streets. As part of this ritual, the basavanna organisers will sing a traditional song “salutes to fathers and mothers” infront of all the houses they pass by on the streets. The holy bull will dance in resonance with the drum beats known as “dolu” and “sannayi” beats of the organizers. This exciting tradition will be witnessed on the auspicious makara sankranthi day and will be celebrated by the children with joy.
