‘Go Mahotsavam’ by TTD on January 16
Tirupati January 4th, 2014: Tirumala TirupatiDevasthanams (TTD) will be organising ‘Go Mahotsavam’ at Sri Venkateswara Go Samrakshanasala (dairy farm) on January 16, coinciding with Kanuma, the third day of MakaraSankranthi.
The celebrations would start from 7 a.m. with ‘Venuganam’ and continue with recital of Vedas by students of Vedic School from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Later, bhajans by artistes of TTD’s DasaSahitya Project and ‘Go Pooja’ and its various rituals would be conducted in the presence of Lord Venugopala.
On this auspicious day, as per the Hindu tradition, cows would be decorated and worshipped for the well-being of the country.
