RTC’s ‘Vaishnava Darshini’ tours brochure released
Specials to be operated on Friday and Saturday
Tirumala- January 3rd, 2014: The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC), Guntur Region is rolling in special pilgrimage tours ‘Vaishnava Darshini’ during ‘Dhanurmasam’ from January 4, said Regional Manager P.V Rama Rao here on Thursday.
The tours being held with the cooperation of Endowments department officials would give passengers an early ‘darshan’ during the pilgrimage.
Mr. Rama Rao along with Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer G. Satyanarayana, Deputy Chief Accounts Officer M. Ratna Vani and Assistant Traffic Manager Ch. Venkateswara Rao inaugurated the brochures for ‘Vaishnava Darshini’ packages.
Speaking to the newsmen, Mr. Rama Rao said the pilgrimage covers Sri Panakala Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devastanam at Mangalagiri, Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Kshetram at Simhachalam, Sri Rama Satyanarayana Swamy Temple at Annavaram and Sri Venkateswara Swamy Devastanam at Dwaraka Tirumala.
‘Vaishnava Darshini’ special buses would be operated on every Friday and Saturday, and the first bus would start at Guntur bus station on January 4 at 6 p.m. As per demand, buses would be arranged from all bus stations in the district, said the RM.
For Express buses, the fare is Rs.866 for adults and Rs.449 for children, for Delux services the charges would be Rs.971 for adults and Rs.501 for children. For Super Luxury buses, the fare for elders is Rs.1,140 and for children is Rs.584. Devotees can book tickets through online and APSRTC franchises, said Mr. Satyanarayana.
