USA, January 01st, 2014:There had been a flurry of ayyappa worshippers and followers all over America. The numbers are growing with each passing year and this year had seen an all-time high. There are thousands of ayyappadeeksha undertakers this year enchanting the holy mantra “swamiye saranam ayyappa” in resonance all across America. It was all started with a handful of devotees around two decades back which had now gathered steam with thousands of deeksha undertakers. Devotees were offering prayers with reverence irrespective the dropping temperatures and minus degrees chilling conditions in the US. Even American natives were attending the rituals to witness the grand pujas organized during the weekends. AyyappaSevasamajas were opened almost in all the major cities of US to organize the Ayyappamadipujas .But the standout highlightwas the Siva Vishnu temple in Washington DC which was hosting the Ayyappa swamy temple. The worshippers were breaking their deekshas after 45 days at this holy temple and so the temple is gaining popularity as “Sabarimala of US”. Thousands of Devotees were walking all along the forest path of around 2 kilometres to approach the temple and then breaking their deeksha after passing through the 18 steps arranged here on similar lines to that of the sabarimala. This temple was well designed to make devotees get a feel of the sabarimala and making them drown in the holy bliss of Swami ayyappa in US.
