The innate happiness from within
December 31st, 2013: A person who is merited with a well-earned success in worldly life possessing a sweet home, an understanding wife, cute children and a luxurious car with a well-planned career is still hunting for an x-factor in life to taste the so-called elixir of happiness. This is the reality of today’s world where humans have everything at their disposal but still feel like something is missing or to nothing much to celebrate or to feel euphoric.
Frequently, we see people being elated with joy for an instance just like a bubble which is short-lived, and then feel cynical and disappointed with one’s possessions at a later stage. Same is the case with human’s inter-personal relations, either men or women. Why is human mind always poaching rather vigorously to maintain the entertainment or joyful curve upright? This is the involuntary probe every human mind will make throughout their lives restlessly. Why all the worldly pleasures and the material wealth we boost of being deserved with are not giving us the utmost happiness? Of course, we do celebrate and felicitate the moments when we are going to marry or when we are in love or when we got promoted in our careers or when our near and dears achieve success. But these are like monsoon drizzles which will fade out once the season changes.
Here in this regard, the buzz word “paramathma” comes into picture. As pr hindu spirituality, humans are the embodiments of the supreme being and every person has the divine attribute in him which when properly dedicated to the worship of god, will be relieved from all his vicious reincarnations. All worldly pleasures and material possessions can only please the so-called jeevathma but not paramathma. The jeevathma is like a 5-year old kid crying for a doll or a toy almost every day one he got bored of his archive of toys at home. Jeevathma resembles humans hunger for food which can be pleased. But once a worldly desire is fulfilled, a dozen of fresh desires will pop up in your mind. These avalanche of desires will make humans feel disturbed and will not let them be peaceful till they are attained. So this vicious cycle of worldly desires to please jeevathma is making us to probe for the peace of mind almost all th time.
So we are pressing the wrong button all the time instead of trying to please the paramathma in you. For an atheist, the paramathma can be attributed to the inner self who has a burning agony or strong desire from within to get pleased in order to achieve that ultimate happiness. This Strong desire in one’s self should be fulfilled to achieve the panacea of all worldly displeasures. Hindu spirituality strongly believes in a concrete reason for the existence of each and every human being on earth to accomplish a destined task attributed to us by the almighty. One should identify this destiny to reach the state of ultimate happiness which is long-lasting in nature and will lead to the peace and prosperity of mankind. But the tricky question is, how to establish the connection with our inner self to identify that potent desire? This needs strong willpower and dedication to get a deep insight into the fundamental question of spirituality which is “who am I?”. This is the puzzle to be cracked to taste the elixir of life. So letz unriddle it and hopefully get an account of one’s inner self in facebook or twittery to scrap or tweet with our own self to be in touch with it all the time to achieve the extreme happiness or the so-called moksha !!!!
