Akhil Bharat Sadhu Sant State Maha Sabha in January

Kadapa, October 21, 2013: Akhila Bharat Sadhu Sant State ‘Mahasabha’ will be held in Kadapa from January 25 to 27, 2014, for arousing spiritual consciousness among Hindus and promote a spirit of camaraderie in society, Akhila Bharat Sadhu Sant president Swamy Sankaranand said here on Sunday.

Nearly 300 saints and heads of spiritual organisations across the State would attend the Mahasabha, he told a media conference here on Sunday. The Mahasabha was envisaged to arouse spiritual consciousness among youth and help them draw inspiration from Swami Vivekananda’s teachings. Hinduism preaches devotion, liberation, noble thinking and freeing oneself from the worldly pleasures, the Swamy said. Hindu religion never interferes or tries to override other religions and time would show the right solution, Akhila Bharat Sadhu Sant secretary Swamy Srihari Theertha said. Hinduism advocates the well-being of everyone. India was a land where Lord Sri Rama and Sri Krishna and saints Sri Adi Sankaracharya and Swami Vivekananda were born, he said.
