Bangalore, October 15, 2013: Thirty people were admitted to hospital and more than 100 fell ill after consuming ‘prasadam’ at Chowdeshwari temple at Lakkasandra near Dairy Circle on the occasion of Navarathri festival. Though, the people had consumed prasadam on Saturday night, they took ill early on Sunday morning. The temple authorities had distributed loba curry, bisibele bath and sweet pongal on the occasion of Navarathri. Hundreds of locals in Audugodi near Mico Layout road have made it a custom to visit the temple on the eve festival over the years. Audugodi police said they were yet to get complaint in this regard.
