Bommala Koluvu organised on the occasion of Dasara in New Colony of Srikakulam on Sunday.

Srikakulam, October 14, 2013: Srikakulam town wore a festive look on Sunday with the beginning of Dasara celebrations. Despite confusion over the date, many people celebrated the festival and offered special prayers to goddess Durga Devi in temples like Vijyadurga temple, Kanakadurga temple and Appannamma temple on Sunday.

Many enthusiastic devotees organised ‘Bommala Koluvu’, an arrangement of toys. Senior advocate Korada Ravindranath and his wife Korada Sandhya, who arranged ‘Bommala Koluvu’ in New Colony, said that it was the right time to explain kids about the age old Indian traditions.
