Hundi Collection in Bramotsavams is around 12 crores
Tirumala, October 14, 2013: The ‘hundi’ at the famous hill temple of Lord Venkateswara registered an income of Rs. 12 crore during the nine-day annual Brahmotsvam which concluded on Sunday against Rs.15.40 crore last year. TTD Executive officer M.G. Gopal said that the income was a record considering the fact that the Samaikyandhra agitation threw normal life out of gear. An estimated 4.48 lakh devotees had darshan of the deity during the festival period while the income from the sale of ordinary darshan tickets and sale of laddu prasadam stood at Rs. 2.87 crores.
