1.5 crore worth of 6 Idols stolen
Sitamarhi, October 14, 2013: Six precious idols of various deities have been stolen from a shrine in a village under Town police station area in Bihar’s Sitamarhi district, a police officer said on Sunday.
Unidentified thieves barged into a shrine in Barari village on Saturday night and looted six idols of deities by pointing gun at the priest Ramsagar Singh, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sanjay Kumar said.
The stolen idols, made of Astadhatu, was valued at Rs.1.5 crore in international market, he said.
