Jodhpur, October 13, 2013: Fearing backlash from the followers of self-styled godman Asaram Bapu, Gujarat Police officials are camping here and waiting for orders to take him to Ahmedabad, despite getting his transit remand. Asaram and his son are wanted for questioning in connection with a sexual assault case lodged by two Surat-based sisters.

“We are awaiting directions of our seniors in Gujarat regarding the transit of Asaram to Ahmedabad. We will decide on it only after receiving directions,” said Additional Commissioner of Police J.C. Patel.
