New Delhi, October 13, 2013: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Saturday questioned Yoga guru Baba Ramdev in connection with the alleged kidnapping of his mentor and guru Swami Shankar Dev about six years ago.

Swami Shankar Dev had gone missing under mysterious circumstances while taking a morning walk in Hardwar in 2007.

“Baba Ramdev has been questioned in the kidnapping case. We will examine him again, if necessary,” said a senior CBI official. The agency may also question his close aide Acharya Balkrishna who was earlier booked in two cases.

The CBI had, in March, registered a case against unknown persons under Section 365 of the Indian Penal Code for the alleged kidnapping of Shankar Dev, in place of a case previously registered in this regard by the Uttarakhand Police, reportedly on a complaint lodged by Balkrishna.
