Tirumala, October 14, 2013: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Saturday donated a pair of ‘Silk Vastram’ to the temple of Goddess Mahalakshmi at Kolhapur in Maharashtra, on the eve of the auspicious ‘Durgastami’ festival. The Peishkar of the Tirumala temple, R. Selvam, made the presentation on behalf of the TTD administration.

A press note issued by the TTD on Saturday, said that there was an overwhelming response to the presentation ceremony from the denizens of Kolhapur. The temple organised a grand procession of the Vastrams from the Bhavani mandapam to the shrine.

Dignitaries who took part in the ceremony include Western Maharashtra Devasthanam Trustee Pramokd Patil, Resident Collector Ajay Pawar and others.
