Madikeri Dasara will conclude on Monday
Madikeri, October 13, 2013: The Madikeri Dasara will conclude on Monday with a grand Vijayadashami spectacle which is likely to attract a large crowd from Mysore and other parts of the State, apart from Kodagu.
Ten decorated chariots drawn from as many temples in Madikeri city will be the main attraction. The bedecked chariots go round the city throughout the night after assembling at the General K.S. Thimayya Circle. The chariots reach the Bannimantap on Tuesday morning.
Police have imposed traffic regulations to control the crowd.
Parking
Vehicles coming from the Mysore Road should take the Sampigekatte road and reach A.V. School, Muthappa temple, St. Joseph’s convent, Superintendent of Police Office junction, ITI junction and reach Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa College ground for parking. Those coming from Siddapur, Murnad and Mangalore Road areas would park at the APMC yard. Parking for the vehicles arriving from the Galibeedu, Abbey Falls, Somwarpet, Kalur areass is at the Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa College and the St. Joseph’s School grounds.One-way rule
The Chaingate-Junior College Road has been made one-way for the vehicles coming from Mysore and Somwarpet areas.
