Saibaba Idol at Kudroli temple premises and Idol installation by a widow – Janarthan Poojari
Mangalore, October 9, 2013: Shree Gokarnanatheshwara Temple in Kudroli consecrate the marble Shiradi Saibaba Mandir on its premises on October 11, the former Union Minister B. Janardhana Poojary said.
Mr. Poojary said on Monday that the 5-ft 7.5-inch idol would be installed by a widow at 5.30 a.m. on the day. The statue, made in Jaipur using imported marble, will arrive here on October 10.
Mr. Poojary said his son, Santhoshkumar Poojary, an International Director of a foreign company here would bear the cost of the shrine.
Mr. Poojary said those who had not contributed to the Kudroli Temple were objecting to the move to appoint widows as its priests. “There will be objections like this whenever we want to do something for society.”
