Gulbarga, October 8, 2013: Seers and social organisations opposing the Adda Pallakki ceremony of carrying the Balehonnur Rambhapuri Jagadguru Veerasomeshwara Rajadeshikendra Shivacharya in a palanquin during the Dasara festivities at Jewargi in Gulabrga district on October 14, have decided to stage simultaneous protests in Bangalore and Gulbarga districts.

A group of seers, led by Gnanaprakash Swami of Urilinga Peddi Math, Mysore, Basavakumar Swami and Dayanand Swami of Rashtriya Basava Dal and Nidumamudi Swami, and several writers, have held discussions with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Bangalore and informed him about the protests being staged against the ceremony.
