Chidambaram, September 30, 2013: Burglary attempt at Atmanatha Swamy Temple at Neduncheriputhur near Chidambaram was foiled on Saturday night.

According to police, some residents who noticed four unidentified persons coming by a car bearing Puducherry registration number and tampering with the lock of the main door of the temple, alerted police. When the police arrived at the spot, there two persons standing guard outside the temple ran away. Two persons who were indide the temple were arrested.
