Swami Vivekananda birth anniversary celebrations

Visakhapatnam, September 29, 2013: Swami Vivekananda believed in neo-vendanta. He thought that the gap between east and west can be bridged through love. His beliefs, quotes and thoughts are phenomenal and have the power of influencing and inspiring the younger generation of the 21{+s}{+t}century, former Rector of Andhra University and director of Centre for Policy Studies A. Prasanna Kumar said.

At the final of series of talks on ‘Swami Vivekananda’s Inspirational Legacy’ organised jointly by Visakha Samskrutika Sabhaa Samakhya and ‘Ahamahamika’ forum of NSTL, Prof. Prasanna Kumar spoke on the topic at length here on Saturday. Ahamahamika, a forum initiated by Director of NSTL S.V. Rangarajan to nurture the habit of book-reading among children brought cheer to the intellectuals who gathered to listen to the lecture laced with a generous dose of humour.

Varahala Chetty of Book Centre and M.S. Srinivas of Vijay Nirman Company, among others were present.
