Kadapa, September 25, 2013: Praying to Lord Sri Krishna, who has many incarnations and avatars, will bestow enlightenment and drive away the evil thoughts among people, Arsha Dharmopanyasakulu and Rushi Peetham founder-editor Brahmasri Samavedam Shanmukha Sarma said.
Hindus offer prayers to myriad forms of the almighty, he said while delivering a discourse on ‘Bhagavatha Kathamrutham – Krishna Tatvam’ at Apoorva Kalyana Mantapam here, organised by Hari Om Adhyatmika and Seva Samstha.
Listening to Sri Krishna tatvam and his exploits with reverence would help one attain wisdom, he said.
The God’s names have in-built power and hence children are named after him.
The Vedic culture steeped in esoteric knowledge developed to such an extent that sages have discovered the soul, Sri Shamukha Sarma said.
He explained about Sri Krishna leelalu from Bhagavatham written by the sages Vyasa, Pothana and Garuda.
TTD Dharma Prachara Parishad organiser Mallu Venkata Reddy, Viswa Hindu Parishad district general secretary K. Srinivasulu Reddy and a large number of devotees participated in the programme.
