10 thousand pilgrims expected for Kumbhmela

Mandya, September 25, 2013: As many as 10,000 pilgrims from different parts of the State are expected to take a dip at the ‘Triveni Sangam’ as part of Kumbh Mela in the district on Thursday.

The former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar will start of the proceedings of the two-day mela, by inaugurating the Jayanthi Mahotsava on Wednesday. The former Chief Ministers B.S. Yeddyurappa and H.D. Kumaraswamy and a host of other politicians are expected to take part in the programmes.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and other leaders will participate in the valedictory of the Kumbh Mela on Thursday.
