Small and Simple Idols also attracted all
Hyderabad, September 19, 2013: Huge Ganesh idols always tend to become the centre of attention for onlookers. However, sometimes, even small and simple idols too grab eyeballs. A few enterprising devotees decided to install 108 small Ganesha idols on tiny chariots, link them in the form of a huge train and tug them along the road. The train attracted a lot of attention from devotees and the media all along the route to the Hussainsagar. Devotees who came up with the concept said religious rituals were carried out for all 108 of them, on all ten days of the festival. “is is our way of paying respects to the elephant god. It took a lot of time for us to prepare 108 chariots and fit small wheels onto them. But, in the end, it was worth it because everybody liked it,” they said.
