No information about Ashok Singhal visit
Krishnagiri, September 19, 2013: No permission has been sought by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad leaders for the visit of its leader Ashok Singhal on Thursday for the immersion of 13 idols installed in various places in the town.

S.R. Senthil Kumar, Superintendent of Police, told The Hindu that the district administration had directed that all the Vinayaga idols should be immersed on or before September 15 and hence, no permission was accorded for taking the idols in a procession by the VHP cadre on Thursday.
Over 300 idols were taken around the town and immersed in Nagondapalli Lake on Sunday.
Meanwhile, B. Vishnu Kumar, VHP organiser for Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri and Salem districts, said that Mr. Singhal would reach Hosur on Thursday by 10.30 a.m.
The idol procession would start by 12 noon and they would be immersed in Nagondapalli Lake after passing through the main bazaar streets of Hosur town.
State-level office-bearers of VHP had planned to meet Deputy Inspector General of Police Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday evening for obtaining permission for their leader’s visit.
