Maha laddu distribution of Khairatabad Ganesh is on September 20
Hyderabad, September 19, 2013: With the main procession getting delayed, the famed 59-feet high Khairatabad Ganesh is likely to being taken out only in wee hours of Thursday. It will be transported on a special vehicle that was brought from Vijayawada to shift the idol to its immersion spot on the Tank Bund.
A huge crane is in place to bring down the 4,200-kg laddu and which the kalasha pooja will be performed.
The Maha Laddu will be distributed to the devotees on September 20. The laddu was prepared at Tapeswaram village near Mandapeta in East Godavari district by Polisetty Mallibabu proprietor of Sri Bhakthanjaneya Suruchi Foods. The laddu has been prepared with 200-kg of cashew nuts, 100 kg of badam, 20 kg of yellow camphor, 50 kg of cardamom, 1,000 kg of Bengal gram, 900 kg of ghee and 1,600 kg of sugar.
