Swamiji rejected the officials appeal to break his fast

Davangere, September 18, 2013: Chennabasava Shivayogi Swami of Nilagunda denied to break his fast though Davangere Deputy Commissioner H.N. Anjan Kumar and G.M. Siddeshwar, Davangere MP, appealed to him to end his fast.

The officials said the district administration was trying to convince the government to concede the seer’s demand to include Harpanahalli in Hyderabad –Karnataka region.

On learning the seer’s bood sugar-levels were dropping, Mr. Siddeshwar and Mr. Kumar visited the seer. The DC said he would request H.K. Patil to concede to the demand. The seer insisted Mr. Siddeshwar take the matter up with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Mr. Siddeshwar said a delegation of 10 MPs from Karnataka had appealed to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to include Harpanahalli in the Hyderabad-Karnatak.

The PM reportedly assured of considering the demand but so far no action had been taken, he said. The seer agreed to break his fast if the Deputy Commissioner agrees to speak with Mr. Siddaramaiah.
