Special trains for Durga Puja

Visakhapatnam, September 17, 2013: The Railways have announced the operation of two pairs of weekly super-fast Express trains to cater to the rush of passengers during Durga Puja. Train no. 02508 Kamakhya-Chennai Central weekly superfast Express will leave Kamakhya at 2 p.m. on Mondays and reach Visakhapatnam at 1:30 a.m. (night) on Wednesdays. It would leave after a 20-minute halt and reach Chennai Central at 2:55 p.m. This special train will operate between September 16 and November 27.

Train no. 02507 Chennai Central – Kamakhya weekly superfast express will leave Chennai Central at 11 a.m. on Thursdays and reach Visakhapatnam at 12:10 a.m. (midnight) on Friday. Leaving after a 20-minute halt, it would reach Kamakhya at 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays. This special train will be operated between September 19 and November 30, according to the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Waltair Division M. Yelvender Yadav.

Another pair of weekly super fast AC express trains will be run between Santragachi (Kolkata) and Chennai Central. Train no. 08041 will leave Santragachi at 7 p.m. on Saturdays and reach Visakhapatnam at 8:20 a.m. on Sundays.

It would leave at 8:45 a.m. to reach Chennai Central at 10:45 p.m. the same night.

This special train will be available from October 5 to November 30.

In the return direction, 08042 will leave Chennai Central at 7:50 a.m. on Mondays. It would reach Visakhapatnam at 8:35 p.m. the same day and leave at 8:55 p.m. to reach Santragachi at 10:25 a.m. on Tuesdays.
