Karimnagar, September 14, 2013: As part of the Vinayaka Chaturthi navaratri celebrations, the organisers of various Ganesh mandaps in Karimnagar town conducted the traditional ‘kum kum’ puja on Friday.

Women participated in the ‘kum kum’ puja at various Ganesh mandaps in Karimnagar town with devotion. The Ganesh mandap organisers also arranged food for participantsafter the conduct of the traditional puja at the mandaps.

Similarly, the traditional ‘kum kum’ puja was also organised in other parts of Karimnagar district on Friday. The women believe that their participation in the ‘kum kum’ puja at Ganesh mandaps is important to please Goddess Gouri. Kum kum’ pujas will also be organised during the Dasara navaratri celebrations in the district.
