Hyderabad, September 14, 2013: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) in association with the Irrigation department will be requisition 65 cranes and 59 mobile cranes along with 85 swimmers and divers with life saving jackets on the final day of immersion at Tank Bund and NTR Marg on Wednesday.

Senior officials affirmed on Friday that for the Ganesh idol immersion in different water bodies in and around the city, the various Government departments would be deploying the required manpower and other paraphernalia at all these locations.

For sanitation alone, the manpower to be deployed for sanitation along various procession routes includes 85 sanitary supervisors, 265 sanitary field assistants and 2,368 workers. Arrangements were made for organising two health camps on the NTR Marg and the Tank Bund on the final day of immersion. The construction of platforms and setting up of cranes at the immersion points was being arranged by the Irrigation Department.
