Vijayawada, September 13, 2013: The residents of Chandra Towers decorated the Ganesha installed on their apartment premises at Mogalrajpuram as Sakambara Ganapathi on Thursday. The residents used cucumber, ladies finger, ridge gourd, carrot, tomatoes, brinjal, capsicum, beans, bitter gourd, cabbage, chllies, snake gourd etc to decorate the idol and offered special prayers.

At One Town, Sri Bala Ganapathi Swamivari Seva Samithi decorated as Erra chandana Ganapathi. Temple priest Karipeddi Sivarama Sarma said that the Erra chandana Ganapathi blesses and fulfils the desires of the devotees who offer prayers with dedication. Bala Ganapathi Mahila Samajam conducted competitions in decoration using the cotton. Later, Sahasra modaka pooja was offered to the deity.

Paryavarana, Manava Samaja Bhadrata Badhyata Foundation in association with APPCB has distributed 3,000 earthen Ganesha idols to the people. They also installed an eco-friendly Ganesha in the city. PCCB Zonal Chief A. Vijaykumar, E.E. Sastry and others were present.
