Chennai, September 10, 2013: Tension prevailed for a short while on Perambur-Madhavaram High Road on Monday morning after members of a Hindu outfit staged a protest with a Ganesha idol after police declined permission to display it in Subramaniathottam, Perambur.

Senior police personnel reached the spot and held talks with the protestors following which a spot on Thanikachalam junction was allotted by police. The protestors then dispersed.
