Kakinada, September 9, 2013: The Ganesh pandals were getting readied for the Vinayaka Chaviti festival in various parts of the city.

The pandals were decorated with banners and flexis with ‘Samaikyandhra’ slogans, as most of the pandals were located close to the relay fast camps launched by employees and sympathisers of the Samaikyandhra cause.

The organisers were busy bringing the idols to the decorated pandals and making arrangements for the traditional ritual.

The Nagara Ganesh Utsava Samithi sought cooperation from the officials, particularly from the civic authorities, to keep the pandals clean and hygienic.
