Orissa Artists for Ganesh Festival to add more colours
Bangalore, September 7, 2013: Sand artists from Orissa will add colour to the Ganesh festival in the city this year. They have created a 31-feet tall Ganesh that will be the centre of attraction at the celebrations to be organised by the Sree Vidyaranya Yuvaka Sangha.
The sangha is organising the 51st Bangalore Ganesh Utsav at the APS College grounds in Basavangudi, said the sangha president Nataraj.
Cultural programmes and a food festival will be a part of the 10-day event. Among those who will perform include Shobhana, Kannada film music director Arjun Janya, Hindi pop band Euphoria, Vijay Yesudas, Shreya Ghosal, and musician Daler Mehndi among others from September 14 to 18.
