Karimnagar students got appreciation
Karimnagar, September 3, 2013: Students of Bhagavathi High School in Karimnagar have won accolades for making the eco-friendly clay Ganesh idol to be installed in their school for Ganesh Chathurthi celebrations for the 10th consecutive year for the protection of nature from pollution.
In order to protect the environment from pollution, the students started making their own Ganesh idol by using locally available clay from the shores of LMD reservoir. Municipal Commissioner K Ramesh, Deputy Educational Officer Jayaveer Rao, Rotary club president G Nageshwar, who went to the school to promote eco-friendly Ganesh idols, were pleasantly surprised over the initiative the students in making clay idols for worshipping in school and their homes. They complimented the students and school management for taking measures for the protection of nature from pollution.
Similarly, the Deputy Educational Officer and the Rotary Club president had also visited the Government High School, Dhangarwadi in Karimnagar to promote the use and making of clay idols. They also administered oath to the students to make clay idols only.
