Tirumala, September 2, 2013: The old Nitya Annadanam (free complex) complex situated in the environs of the main temple complex was formally brought into operation on Sunday after altering it into a central luggage complex.

Sensing its vantage location, the TTD management converted the massive complex into a multi purpose complex for the utility of the visiting devotees.

The complex which will serve as a central luggage collecting centre in its new character is also equipped with locker facilities, bathrooms and toilets besides resting halls.

Pilgrims trekking up to the sacred town can collect their baggage from the complex within a stipulated time.

Even though the complex has been commissioned on a trial-run basis the management is also planning to set up laddu selling counters as well as a tonsuring centre depending upon the fact as to how effectively the pilgrims avail the facilities.
