Hundreds of Students visited the Vivekananda Rath

Hundreds of students visited the Vivekananda Rath, which arrived in the port town on Sunday, and offered floral tributes to the sage known for his profound wisdom.
The ‘Rath Yathra’, which is being conducted across Tamil Nadu in connection with the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, reached here on Sunday. After being received at Sri Bathrakaliamman Temple at Third Mile on the outskirts of the town, the ‘Vivekananda Rath’ proceeded to a good number of schools here, where a rousing reception was accorded. The Rath also visited the Sivan temple here. It will visit Sundaram Arulraj Hospital, APC Mahalaxmi College, Chandi Engineering College, Kamaraj College and Sarada Primary School on Monday.
