Organisation leaders submitted a memorandum to authorities in this regard after staging a dharna and a rally before that.
Memorandum
Tracing the events which lead to the yatra being organised in August, the memorandum, addressed to President Pranab Mukherjee, recalled the assurance given by the Hindu clergy to the UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on the peaceful nature of the Parikrama.
The organisers and saints were taken aback as the ban on the Yatra was imposed all of a sudden, it said.
Fundamental right
he President that no law and order problem will arise if the Yatra resumes. It asked Mr. Mukherjee to allow the Yatra which is a fundamental right of Hindu society.
