Tirumala, August 27, 2013: The famous hill temple of Lord Venkateswara is all set to acquire a new golden chariot ahead of the nine-day annual Brahmotsavams slated to begin from October 5.

The temple administration, which nevertheless has got the wooden framework of the chariot readied at Tirupati, has now focussed its attention in providing gold mallam (coating) to the copper sheets that shall envelop the timber frame.
