TTD negligence on property transfers
Tirumala, August 26, 2013: The TTD’s Properties cell is reportedly swathed in requests from various individuals, who have expressed their willingness to part with their property in favour of the prestigious institution.
However, these requests lie unaddressed.
Individuals are willing to part with their properties either by way of a registered will or a gift deed.
But seldom do the aspiring donors receive any communiqué for reasons best known to the management.
It is true that a fraction of the applications received do not clear the obligatory legal hurdles required to take possession of property owing to disputes but at the same time, it is an irrefutable fact that several properties with clear title records remain confined to record stands.
According to highly placed sources, it is believed that files relating to properties worth over Rs. 400 to 500 crore spread all over the country with clear title documents and whose possession (alone) is required to be taken over by the TTD management, are regrettably accumulating dust.
