Vellore, August 25, 2013: Students, staff, faculty and the management of VIT University, Vellore contributed Rs.40 lakh towards Uttarakhand Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, in view of the flood that wreaked havoc on the State.

A release from the university said that its vice president, Sankar Viswanathan, and Vice Chancellor, V. Raju, met Vijay Bahuguna, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand in Delhi on Saturday and handed over the demand draft for Rs. 40 lakh.
