More plans for Bhadrachala Seetha Ramachandraswamy Temple
Bhadrachalam, August 23, 2013: V. K. Agarwal, Principal Secretary to Government, Revenue (Endowments) Department, announced several plans to propagate the glory of the renowned Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy temple and enlist active cooperation of donors to improve amenities for devotees at the temple town.
He unveiled a slew of proposals, including introduction of another Prachara Ratham (motorised chariot) in addition to the existing one and new schemes to promote donors participation in developmental activities in the temple town. Mr Agarwal reviewed the developmental activities at the first meeting of the temple’s Specified Authority held in Bhadrachalam on Thursday.
Later, Mr Agarwal told mediapersons that a plan was on the anvil to celebrate religious fairs in honour of Pokala Dammakka and Sabari, the ardent devotees of Lord Sri Rama, on a grand scale.
Plans are afoot to organise the celebrations as an annual feature to highlight the glorious tribal art and culture in a befitting manner, he said. He asked the officials concerned to send detailed proposals for taking up developmental activities in the temple town expeditiously keeping in view the Godavari Pushkaralu slated for 2015.
He further announced several proposals to perform special pujas in the name of donors on the occasions of their choice like birthdays and presentation of ‘sesha vastrams’ and special prasadams to encourage them become active partners in the development of the temple.
