Managudi at Srikakulam
Srikakulam, August 22, 2013: Srikakulam Collector Saurabh Gaur on Wednesday said that Mana Gudi programme of Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam would help to protect Hindu culture and tradition while explaining the importance of temples in day-to- day life.
He participated in Mana Gudi programme held at Sri Kalyanavenkateswara temple near Collector’s camp office and participated in Sobha Yatra which was taken up to create awareness about Mana Gudi programme. TTD Raksha Bandhans were given to Collector’s family members.
He said that the programme was being held in 837 temples across the district. Srikakulam Citizens’ Forum president Baratam Kameswara Rao and others also participated in the programme. Temples including Shiva Balaji temple in Banker’s colony took up several religious activities and performed special prayers as part of the TTD’s flagship programme.
