Varieties of Lord Krishna Idols sale at Special Exhibition
Tiruchi, August 21, 2013: Various forms of lord Krishna in the shape of idols are on display for sale at Sri Krishna Darshan, an exclusive exhibition at Poompuhar showroom at Singarathope.
The 12-day exhibition was inaugurated by Asoka Govinthadass, in-charge of ISKCON, Srirangam, on Tuesday. The expo is open till August 31 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on all days, excluding Sundays. The items are priced between Rs. 100 and Rs. 2,00,000.
The star attractions are a three feet bronze statue of Krishna priced at Rs. 2 lakh, which is being displayed for the first time, and a miniature two-inch statue of crawling Ganesh priced at Rs. 960.
Other items include paper mache Krishna dolls, Krishna in Aligarh brass and panchaloha, chamki work on cloth and paintings on velvet, cloth depicting Krishna, Tanjore picture paintings of Krishna, sandalwood and rosewood statues of Krishna, and Krishna in marble products, stone carvings and black metals.
