The Heritage Festival 2013
Hyderabad:‘Hare Krishna Movement – Hyderabad’, an initiative of Iskcon Bangalore, to promote Vedic culture and Indian Heritage values, celebrated the ‘Hare Krishna Jhulan Utsava’ and ‘Heritage Fest’ at Lingampally on Sunday.
The Heritage Fest 2013 began at 9 a.m. at B. K. Raghav Reddy Function Hall, which witnessed various inter-school cultural competition events for students from LKG to 10 Class who competed in mono acting, Puranic costumes, story telling, Gita sloka chanting, vocal music, colouring and drawing. Earlier, ‘Hare Krishna Jhulan Utsava’ was conducted early in the morning where the idol of Lord Sri Makhana Krishna was placed on a well decorated throne and offered grand ‘arathi’. Bhajans and kirtans were also rendered on the occasion, according to press release.
