Tale of yore:Bhattars enacting the "pittukku mann sumantha" episode of Lord Siva, who in the guise of a common man carried mud to plug a breach in the Vaigai river to get puttu, a sweetmeat made of rice, at Puttuthoppu in Madurai on Sunday.
