Anniversary celebration of Yoga foundation
Tiruchi, August 19, 2013: District Collector Jayashree Muralidharan inaugurated on Sunday the seventh anniversary celebration of Gnanodhaya, Yoga and Natural Health Research Foundation.
A yoga demonstration by students and guru pooja were the highlights of the anniversary celebration of the institution that provides therapeutic services to integrate body, breath, and mind to resolve diseases like stress, diabetes, asthma, obesity, arthritis, cardiovascular and nervous disorders. The institution, according to its founder K.VK. Shivasamy, aims to unveil the ancient yogic practices and transfer the natural and scientific benefits to the learners right from children to the elderly. Healthy people desire to understand yoga beyond physical benefits, the yoga teacher, who has specialised in yoga therapy and conducted yoga courses and seminars in several countries for the last 50 years, said.
