The rath was taken around the schools and colleges in the district before being taken to the Sri Ramalinga Textile Mill.

A statue of Swami Vivekananda installed at the mill premises was unveiled by Swami Kamalathmanandhaji Maharaja at noon, a representative from Sri Ramalinga Textile Mill said.

Statues of Swami Vivekananda were similarly unveiled at the Sri Sivananda Vidyalayam Matriculation School and at Gandhi Vidyalayam Higher Secondary School in Ramaswamy Nagar.

The rath was then taken to the ashram of Ramana Maharishi at his birthplace in Thiruchuli and was brought back to Aruppukkottai, where a culture show had been organised.
