TTD EO Appeals Public to Uphold Hindu Sanatana Dharmic Values
Tirupati, August 16, 2013: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer M.G. Gopal has appealed to the public to take upon themselves the task of preserving, promoting and propagating Hindu Sanatana dharmic values, as it holds the key to upholding the pride of India.
In his address delivered at the 67th Independence Day celebrations on Thursday at the TTD administrative building here, Mr. Gopal recalled the role of sages, leaders, ancestors and predecessors in passing on ethics and human values to the posterity.
“It is now our turn to safeguard the tenets of Hindu Sanatana dharma and tread the path shown by our leaders,” he said.
He listed the various pro-pilgrim and dharmic activities contemplated by the TTD and promised to provide hassle-free darshan and comfortable stay to pilgrims visiting Tirumala.
“Even though the APSRTC halted bus services on the ghat road on 13th due to the bandh, we convinced the union leaders to resume services within 24 hours,” he recalled.
He later presented merit certificates to Public Relations Officer T. Ravi, photographer P. N. Sekhar, Superintending Engineer (Electrical) A. Venkateswarlu, Assistant R. Srinivas Shenoy, Assistant Engineer K. Balu, Asst. EO Lakshmi Narayana Yadav and others.
Joint Executive Officers K. Srinivasa Raju and P. Venkatrami Reddy, Chief Vigilance and Security Officer G.V.G. Ashok Kumar took part.
