Go-Pooja At Ongole
Ongole, August 15, 2013: ‘Go pooja’ was performed at the twin-temples of the Kasivisveswara swamy and Chennakeshavaswamy here on Wednesday as part of the ‘Managudi’ programme being organised jointly by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) and the Hindu Religious and Endowments Department.
Women in large numbers took part in the special ritual conducted by the Prakasam District Dharma Prachara Parishad (DPP) constituted by the TTD.
According to vedas all gods, including Vinayaka, Brahma, Vishnu and Maheswara reside in the holy cow, vedic priest Matampalli Dakshinamoorthi said. Since vedic times cow is worshiped for health wealth and prosperity, according to DPP secretary Ponnuri Venkata Srinivasulu.
