Coimbatore, August 13, 2013: Indu Makkal Katchi has urged the district administration to provide adequate protection to those who celebrate Vinayagar Chathurthi on September 9 and a few days thereafter. In a release, the party said that given the communal disturbance in the State in the past few days, the administration should ensure that there were no untoward incidents in the district — not only on the day of celebrations but till September 13, when the immersion would take place.
