Nagapanchami Celebrated with Religious Fervor in Ongole
Ongole, August 12, 2013: Naga Panchami was celebrated with religious fervour and traditional enthusiasm here on Sunday.
A large number of devotees thronged snake pits including the one at the Subramanyaswamy temple near the Rangarayuducheruvu and offered milk with devotion to the “Nagadevathalu” on the fifth day after new moon in the holy Shravana masam.
Women offered special prayers after liting incense sticks and breaking coconuts.
