August 11, 2013: The two-day celebrations of Naga Panchami, the festival dedicated to the serpent god, began here on Saturday with people offering special pujas to anthills and at temples.

In Gulbarga city, married women and young girls dressed in their best, made a beeline to temples and anthills to offer special pujas. Special sweet dishes and milk were also offered.
